Visits & Tastings
Southold is a small working winery in Francs, on the eastern edge of Bordeaux's Right Bank… which is to say, not the part of Bordeaux most people come to see.
We host a limited number of visits each month for people curious about a different version of this place: less classification, more farming. Less polish, more process. The winery is a working space first, so visits are small by design and availability is intentionally limited.
Most are hosted by me directly and happen at the cellar in Francs. Depending on the format, they'll include some combination of current releases, barrel samples, and a walk through the vineyard and grafting program — the ongoing project of turning a conventional estate into something else. Select visits include pickup from Saint-Émilion. Occasionally I host in Bordeaux city with partner venues, if you're not making the trip out.
This isn't a château tour. If you're looking for a grand tasting room and a gift shop, I'd genuinely point you somewhere else. If you want to see how a small natural wine estate actually works (the decisions, the tradeoffs, the wines before they're finished) this is probably the right stop.
